In 2017 Nebraska will turn 150 years old which marks a milestone of accomplishments and culture. In that time period, Nebraska has become a forefront for agriculture, holds many legends and stories that are passed on to future generations, and is the proud home of the Cornhuskers. Nebraska nourishes a grand affinity for the outdoors and is known for its hunting adventures. People travel far to hunt Nebraska’s waterfowl, turkey, and whitetail deer. Nebraska is one of the leaders when it comes to land conservation in the United States. To celebrate and capture these values and achievements, we are proud to introduce the Nebraska 150th Statehood Shotgun.
To represent the values of Nebraska, the base model firearm used for this project will be an Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight. Ithaca is proudly made in the United States and sustains a high level of excellence when it comes to their firearms. The shotgun will be plated with a 24 karat gold finish which will be durable enough to be cherished for many lifetimes. Each shotgun receives a custom serial number from the manufacturer as well as an edition number since there will only be 150 made for the entire edition. The engravings on the metal receiver, walnut buttstock and pump, are all hand drawn to fit the shotgun perfectly. This shotgun will be the best representation of the proud history and values of the great state of Nebraska and will become an heirloom to hand down to the next generation.
